The Trusted Platform
CURIOSITY platform was designed to provide professionals with maximum flexibility for creating sophisticated applications on top of advanced external security elements. Based on years of expertise in the security arena, the experts at Francisco Ventures strongly recommend the use of several security elements simultaneously (otherwise known as the “don’t put all of your eggs in one basket” philosophy)

NXP iMX6 ULZ ARM® Cortex™-A7 /900 MHz – Provides the following security features such as the Arm® TrustZone® technology, HABv4 (High Assurance Boot), AES crypto engine, TRNG – true random number generator, SNVS – Secure Non Volatile Storage, SJC—System JTAG Controller which protects JTAG from debug port attacks.

NXP A71CH – Provides a secure IoT connection to Cloud providers and root of trust. Supports Google Cloud IoT Core, IBM Watson IoT and AWS IoT.
NXP SmartLock SE050 – Secure element with Common Criteria EAL 6+ certification. The chip allows end-to-end encrypted communication, supports both RSA & ECC asymmetric cryptographic algorithms with high key length and future proof ECC curves and provides hardware based key storage.
NXP A1006 – Hardware based secure authenticator. Provides secure device identity for the CURIOSITY hardware, loaded with a static pair of ECC Private Keys and includes dedicated hardware to protect against reverse engineering attacks.

Infineon OPTIGA MSLS32AIA – Security controller with Common Criteria EAL 6+ certification, I2C interface with Shielded Connection (encrypted communication). Cryptographic support: ECC NIST P256/P384, SHA-256, TRNG – true random number generator, DRNG – digital random number generator, RSA® 1024/2048. Device Security Monitor which enforces the security policy of chip.
